| A little re-cap... I've been working at The Karcher Group for three months now and love it. I started there on July 14th, exactly a year to the day of when we got married and I totally felt and feel blessed that the Lord provided a year, no more- no less, to be at home and adjust. So, it's a new season-- everything is new. Dave is working full-time and going to school full-time to finish up his degree. A bit crazy, but we've adjusted well to it. We have weekends free now, and have been filling them up sometimes a little too much. Dave is working on renovating my parent's living room-- he's actually putting in the floor right now. So, that's what we do most weekends, next to his massive amounts of homework. My big brother, Jonny, got married this Summer, and as of two weekends ago my bigger brother, Dave, is engaged. Very exciting. And that's a little snapshot of our life right now. | | |
| The interview from a week ago went really well. The oral surgeon is very nice and was very encouraging. It turns out they had two hundred applicants and out of those they narrowed it down and called some of us for interviews. He said that they had only been slightly interested in one other they interviewed, and that they were now very interested in me. So, I left in peace and then today received a phone call from them asking for a working interview. So, woo hoo! I also was contacted by a web development/marketing/hosting group in North Canton today asking for an interview. After looking at their website-- I'm thrilled to even just meet these people.. they're all young, creative, and most of them seem to love Jesus. So, I have an interview with them at nine tomorrow morning. Annd we will have been married for one year in a couple weeks :) | | |
| It's officially baby/wedding season. I have a job interview tomorrow at an oral surgeons office. We're going to have a two year old with us from 8am Friday till 8pm Sunday. I'm busy baby-proofing the house. Less than a month until vacation. I cleaned out my car today. I'm thrilled for the new Coldplay album. I had relaxed lastweek from dieting and somehow maintained my weight. I think I'm finally not scared to go on walks around our neighborhood. Weed killer does not work. Dave was suppose to be done at work a half an hour ago. He's too nice to people-- including myself. Dave totally gutted and is re-doing my parent's family room. I helped a little. | | |
| I love the way that mango kind of has a little taste of pine to it. | | |
| Elsey Update... Dave only has two more days to drive to and from Amherst. Then, he'll be working in the office in Twinsburg through August. He's really trying to find out what the Lord wants him to do after the co-op is done. Right now he's leaning towards the idea of going back to school to complete the final few years to have his bachelor's. That would consist of going to school Tuesday and Thursday, and working Monday Wednesday and Friday. With the sample schedule he put together, that would mean we would actually be able to see eachother more during the week. So, that's where he's at.. we're still seeking and praying, and we know God will make it clear. I've been keeping busy with childcare and working with Dave on the weekends and keeping the house together. I've been on an organizational adventure in our home and managed to go through all of our clothes, get rid of stuff, and re-vamp our closet. Woohoo. Oh, and an update on my attempt to get healthy.. I'm working out five days a week now with a combo of cardio and muscle toning. For the first time ever I eat breakfast everyday. And I'm actually sleeping better than I have in probably a year or two. This is probably the most frustrating thing ever because there is no way to cheat or take an easy route-- aka what I try to do with everything. But at the same time, I really haven't felt this accomplished in forever because I am doing this the hard way. It sounds different, but God has been using this as a beginning platform that I think He's going to call me to base further life-changes on and do things that in the past I couldn't handle emotionally. And a side note.. I'm absolutely thrilled that it's actually warmer out because our neighbor no longer has to run her van for twenty minutes (I'm blaming her exhaust for Global Warming) in the wee hours of the morning directly next to our bedroom to warm it up. | | |
